Edmund and Alice had a wonderful Christmas Day, surrounded by many family and friends who came to visit. Lunch was typical Hong Kong style - delicious and plentiful. We expect to be eating the leftovers for many days to come!
But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weakness so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
On this very first day of the New Year, I would like to send you the following Blessings -
May you always enjoy the love of family and friends, and may you be blessed with Health & Happiness. May you continue to enjoy new experiences with God, and may your walk with God be closer than ever. Thanking God for you and asking Him to bless you abundantly in the New Year!
Thanks again for praying for us and sharing with us your enjoyment and experience with the mighty God. May we also pray God for his abundant love to be shone on everyone!
One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes of his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonged to him, and the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it, "Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why, when I needed you most, you would leave me."
The Lord replied, "My son, my precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."
